Formed in 2007 following the merger of Burgess Hill SC and Haywards Heath SC, Mid Sussex Marlins now has over 900 active swimmers, of all ages (from 5 to 80) and all abilities. The club has full ASA Swim 21 Accreditation.
The new club proved a success with the immediate promotion of the Swim Team to the National Swimming League Southern Premier Division, after winning the Division 1 Title in December 2007.
- The success of our Competitive Squads, stems from the clubs comprehensive Childrens Teaching programme and flexible Training Squads (for teenage swimmers not currently competing), managed by our Chief Coach and qualified Teaching and Coaching staff
- The Masters (Adult) section now numbers over 200,swimmers, making it one of the largest and competitively most successful Masters groups in the Country.
- The Mens, Senior and Junior Water Polo Teams have one of the strongest squads in Sussex, whilst the Ladies Team compete in the National League, with a team containing several home grown internationals
- Our Dolphin & Starfish sessions for disabled swimmers have been established for over 20 years
The club is based in West Sussex, around the towns of Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. We train at 3 swimming pools, 2 of which are sited in Leisure centres, with fully equipped modern gyms.
Our primary pool is the Triangle at Burgess Hill, an 8 lane, 25m pool with fully moveable floors, electronic timing, generous spectator seating and fully equipped gym. The Dolphin at Haywards Heath is a 6-lane 33m pool with a moveable boom at 25m and also has a large gym. We also train at the 4-lane, 25m pool of nearby Ardingly College
