Once again our swimmers exceeded expectations at days 4 and 5 of the South East Regional Championships. Over the weekend the swimmers added another high number of pbs, club records, as well as achieving another 2 medals to take the club’s total up to 10, with two more days of the champs to go.
The swimmers also made a number of finals, highlights including Sam Wiles placing 4th in both the 100m free and 50m fly and Bethany Abrams making two finals, the 50m free and 200m IM. Bethany then went on to take gold in the 11/12 years 400m freestyle with a big pb and a fantastic swim!
Charlotte Johnson also medalled in the 400m free taking a silver as well as breaking a long standing U14 County Record.
All the swimmers did a great job and a high number were also reserves for finals. The team included: Teilo Williams, Eren Guryel, Michael Edwards, Ollie Richardson, Sam Wiles, Tom Midmer, Bethany Abrams, Charlotte Johnson, Imogen Goodhew, Millie Forcier and Amelia Stone.
The swimmers will now keep training hard for the final weekend of Regionals at K2 Crawley over the last weekend in May.
